46 professional events and 7 trade fairs have already been confirmed for 2018 in Donostia/San Sebastián and this figure will continue to increase as the year progresses: 37 conferences with a total of 43,005 overnight stays, 4 conventions with 1,910 overnight stays and 5 workshops/seminars with 3,395 overnight stays. In terms of incentive travel, a range of trips have already been confirmed, with the majority of these originating from the United States, Germany and France.
It is particularly important to highlight that 32 of the 46 events are international in scope, representing 70% of the total number of events. Promoting convention tourism is one of the key strategic foci of San Sebastián Turismo & Convention Bureau and is in keeping with efforts to drive strategies of internationalisation and the promotion of the city as a year-round destination.
