Tourism is an important activity in Donostia/San Sebastián: it accounts for 13.9% of the city’s GDP and generates 15,000 jobs.

However, it poses a number of challenges that we must manage.
To promote sustainable tourism development, we have designed a tourism plan with the participation of the private sector, the public sector and the public.

The aim of this sustainable tourism plan is not to increase tourism, but to focus on citizens’ quality of life and manage tourism in the most sustainable way possible.
