The #ThePINKforce campaign “for a world with more happy kids and less cancer” has ended with an excellent response from the public and has raised over €6000, which will be used to renovate the “Piratenea” paediatric oncology department in Donostia University Hospital, where the children will now be able to enjoy a much happier atmosphere.
This fundraising was made possible thanks to the cooperation of various establishments associated with San Sebastian Tourism & Convention Bureau, which coordinated the campaign together with ASPANOGI – the Gipuzkoa Association of Parents of Children with Cancer – and the little ambassador from Star Wars R2-KT and her imperial assistants.

The #ThePINKforce campaign, launched by San Sebastian Tourism & Convention Bureau, ASPANOGI and R2KT and her imperial assistants, has been successfully completed, raising more than €6000 through the 15 collection tins spread across the city. Locals and visitors were able to contribute in the establishments associated with SSTourism&CB, which helped out with this great cause by having collection tins and contributing a donation: Aquarium, San Telmo Museum, San Sebastian Racecourse, San Martín Market, La Perla Talaso Sport, Hegalak, Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra, Hotel Silken Amara Plaza, Garbera and Petritegi cider house.

The little ambassador R2-KT and her imperial assistants visited all of the collaborating establishments to deliver the collection tins and allow the campaign to get underway. We would like to highlight the warm reception given by the public at each of the deliveries and the fun that the kids (and adults) had meeting R2-KT.
All of the funds raised during the campaign will be used to renovate and redecorate the paediatric oncology unit “Piratenea” in Donostia University Hospital, so that the kids can enjoy the nicest, happiest atmosphere possible.
