Donostia / San Sebastián has achieved the maximum “Smart Tourism Destination” distinction after meeting the strict requisites demanded of the city. San Sebastián at state level and Medellín at international level are the only cities that have won this award in 2023.
Thanks to its work to promote sustainability, accessibility, innovation and technology, San Sebastián is now Euskadi’s first “Smart Tourism Destination”, and joins the short list of STD destinations already achieved by Benidorm, Gijón, Málaga, Tenerife and Santander on the old methodology.
