San Sebastian present on the board of the smart tourism destinations network;nessential for reviving tourism

San Sebastian is a founding member of the DTI (Smart Tourism Destinations) Network, along with another 121 members from across Spain.The Executive Committee of the DTI (Smart Tourism Destinations) Network recently held a meeting with Cristina Lagé, San Sebastian’s Councillor for Tourism attending as a board member, in which the main lines of action in the Tourism Recovery Plan to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on the sector were presented.

As remarked by Cristina Lagé:“The Smart Tourism Destinations network lays the foundations for a tourism industry based on social, employment, cultural and business sustainability and also, as discussed by the minister Reyes Maroto, healthcare sustainability”.She also remarked on “the importance of smart tourism destinations to restarting tourism in our city and the involvement of this nationwide network, which is aligned with the core areas that we are working on in our Master Plan, such as governance, sustainability, accessibility, innovation and technology“.
